Mount Hor

The dramatic fiord like appearance of Lake Willoughby is created by the steep granite slabs of Mount Pisgah (2751 ft.), to the east and Mount Hor (2648 ft.), to the west, the twin peaks that rise vertically from its waters. Hike any number of different routes, including the Herbert Hawkes Trail; a satisfying half day family hike to lake and mountain views. This steep hike will reward you with overlook views of Lake Willoughby, Mount Pisgah, Lake Memphremagog, and the White Mountains. The Mt. Hor summit and ridge trails offer exhilarating rock climbing, and equally spectacular vistas.
