The Barton Area Chamber welcomes Cold Spring Kitchen
into the fold. Martha and Dallas Willey of Glover purchased the former Wooden Spoon Deli at Currier’s Market
this fall and hit the ground running. The Willeys moved to their home on Cold Spring Lane in Glover after their house in Lyndonville was flooded by Hurricane Irene. A bartender at Parker Pie, Martha was making desserts for the restaurant when the Willeys learned about the business opportunity at Currier’s. The timing was right, and the Kitchen was born. The new menu features many of the same items as the Wooden Spoon minus the fried foods and pizza, and there are several new offerings as well. Cold Spring Kitchen has attracted a loyal following for their fresh, home-made baked goods and bread as well as their regular breakfast and lunch options and specials made with locally-sourced, fresh ingredients. “Now, that’s a sandwich!” enthuses one regular customer. Cold Spring Kitchen is open Mondays and Wednesday-Saturday from 6am-2pm, Sundays from 9am-1pm, and is closed on Tuesdays.
