Glover Day farm-to-table

Take a Taste on Glover Day Come sample a local farm-to-table tasting menu.
The Red Sky Trading Company, Bethany M. Dunbar, author of Kingdom’s Bounty, and Nan Richardson, the publisher, are teaming up with local farms to offer a delectable sampling of food and words as part of Glover Day festivities on Saturday, July 27. Sample heirloom tomatoes grown by Four Acre Farm, farmer’s cheese by Sweet Rowen, cheese made by the Cellars at Jasper Hill, Brown’s Beautiful Blueberries, pork sausage from Sean and Steffany Mosley, potato salad of grilled new potatoes and arugula by Andy Paonessa and Meghan Stotko of Heartwood Farm, bread from Patchwork Farm Bakery, tarts with fresh chard and basil from Hazendale Farm, yogurt from Butterworks Farm, local yokel tacos with ingredients from Gibou Farm, maple syrup from the Taylor family, and maple candy from Deep Mountain Maple. Tasting menu by donation at 1 p.m. Ms. Dunbar will read from her book, Kingdom’s Bounty; a sustainable, edible, eclectic guide to Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom published by Umbrage Editions at 2 p.m. Publisher Nan Richardson will speak about the book project, and farmers and producers will discuss their efforts and answer questions.
